Alumi-Span Docks are extremely versatile. Illustrated here are two of the many configurations available. The "L" and the "T" allow you more space to dock boats or fish off without going out into deeper water where installation is more difficult.

Over the years, Alumi-Span has made hundreds of special sizes and configurations. If you don't see what you need call us and our engineers will be happy to recommend a solution to your problem.

F-Channel Construction
Our proven system features "F" shaped aluminum stringers into which various deck materials can be inserted. These are in turn bolted to our 300B stringer brackets and standard assemblies.

The anodized stringer protect the end of the deck material and are smooth to walk or site on. Heavy all wood decks cant compare. Because the assembly is bolted together auguring can be eliminated in many applications. Many competitive docks use very heavy steel legs and supports.

Aluminum is lighter and better looking. We also sell galvanized uprights which are usually more stable on lengths of 10' or more.

Determining Your Needs
When using the standard auger, the correct heights of the uprights may be determined by adding 3' to the water depth at points where the uprights are to be placed. This will allow approximately 1' of penetration by the upright posts into the bottom and 2' extending above the surface.

When using mud augers, you need only allow for 6"-8" of bottom penetration.

Bottom plates rest on the solid floor of the lake and you need only figure the depth of the water plus the 2' extending above it's surface. "Perma Augers" and "Big Foot" have the same pole length requirements as regular augers.

Standard Assembly
A standard assembly consists of two aluminum uprights with cast aluminum auger heads, one aluminum cross-arm, two adjustable aluminum claps and two snag-free vinyl post caps. This entire assembly with 4' uprights weighs only 9 pounds, 4 ounces. Galvanized uprights are also available.

Uprights are available in heights of 3', 4', 5', 6', 7', 8', 10', and 12'; cross-arm in widths to accommodate 3', 4', and 6' decking.

On piers 6' wide, a heavy wall single cross-arm is provided. On piers wider than 6', either a truss-type cross-arm is provided.

#310
Three-way center clamp for securing truss-type cross-arm to top cross-arm on piers 6' or wider.

#311 & #312
Three-way side clamp for securing truss-type cross-arms to uprights. Cast aluminum.
