This fully adjustable 7” plate can be used on sand or light muck and eliminates augering when used with a stringer bracket. In heavier muck the bottom plate can be mounted a few feet up the post and then “jammed” into the muck. These two-piece castings clamp perfectly square and are far more secure than competitive one piece units using simple thumb screws. Switch to bottom plates for easier installation and only auger where needed to hold a boat. Our standard 211 bottom plates are designed for 2” diameter posts but a 1 7/8” diameter version can be specified.

I bought 6 pairs of these bottom plates in 2014 . Bought 1 more pair about 2 months ago as spares that I didn't replace in 2014. The only difference between now and then I believe the base plate is now a hair smaller and use to have two 3/8" drill through holes ( 2 holes drilled diagonally in corners of the base plates ). I use and add a treated board 2"x12"x 18" to each bottom plate and bolt them down to the board, this works great for me.

Cottage owner

Bought eight of these to replace augers in the make deeper water sections of our dock. This made our platform installation easier.

Works well on 4 section platform

I replaced some old wood platform bases with these bottom plates. They carried the weight of an 8 by 16 platform in 5 inches of muck. Good Design!
